Balancing Business Counsel and Advocacy
Cecilia joins as an associate in FH2’s transactional and litigation practice groups, bringing with her several years’ experience across AMLAW 100 and 200 firms. Prior to FH2, Cecilia garnered her experience and dynamic knowledge representing local businesses, Fortune 500 companies, healthcare providers, and major insurance companies and insureds in products liability, complex business disputes, medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and human trafficking litigation in both state and federal court. From initial investigations through trial, she has counseled clients through novel strategy issues, written detailed risk assessments and reports for emerging issues in legal and regulatory compliance, performed statistical analysis and regression modeling of large data to counsel client decision-making, drafted motions for summary judgment on emerging issues of law, won oral argument in court hearings for dispositive motions in favor of her clients, zealously taken countless key depositions of party representatives, negotiated and mediated settlements, lead large scale discovery and eDiscovery projects, and participated in successful jury and bench trials. Cecilia has been recognized for her perception in her calculated approach to problem solving and her well-known moxie in the representation of her clients both in and out of the courtroom.

Cecilia earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law where she served on the Executive Board of the Emory Law Mock Trial Society, as Secretary of the Student Government Association, as an Emory Law Orientation Leader, and as Program Coordinator for the annual Emory Law Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques. Off campus, Cecilia interned for an administrative judge for the Atlanta division of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Metro Atlanta Business Case Division of Fulton County. She was inducted into the Order of Emory Advocates in recognition of her achievements in trial advocacy.

Prior to law school, Cecilia graduated with Honors, magna cum laude, with three bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and awarded the Criminal Justice Program Outstanding Student Award of her graduating class.

Outside of the Office
Cecilia enjoys playing tennis, hunting for antique furniture, preparing her next Halloween costume, and re-watching Classic Hollywood films.
