Practice Areas: Mr. Jones concentrates his practice on corporate transactions and taxation, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; corporate governance; partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures; executive compensation arrangements; corporate, partnership and real estate taxation; state and local taxation; and tax controversies and litigation. Mr. Jones also acts as a mediator and arbitrator in commercial and business disputes, is a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, and is a National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) arbitrator. Prior to law school, Mr. Jones was a CPA with a Big Eight accounting firm, and prior to joining Friend, Hudak & Harris, Mr. Jones was General Counsel of a public technology company for eight years and the Chief Financial Officer of that same company for four years.
